Sometimes puppies need to be supplemented because they are not thriving. After having a litter that was born prematurely and that did not gain weight for a week, we found a recipe for formula that made an incredible turn-around for them. Here it is:

PUPPY FORMULA RECIPE

10 oz. goat's milk

8 oz. whole fat yogurt

2 Tbsp. Mayonnaise

1 egg yolk (raw)

3 oz. sterilized water

Kayo or corn syrup

Blend together. Store in refrigerator. Warm to 101 degrees F. prior to feeding pups.

May be tube fed or bottle fed. If bottle feeding, enlarge the hole in the nipple.
